My mom was a seamstress and I started sewing doll clothes when I was about 6 years old.  That led to sewing my own clothes, which I pretty much did throughout high school and college.  Other than making necessities for the house, like window coverings, I got away from it until recently.  A couple of years ago I got a new machine, and made my first quilt later that year using a pattern from one of Elizabeth Hartman's books.  I'm eager to tackle my next project, which will be following Amy Gibson's 2012 Block of the Month club on Craftsy.
