Tutorial for block

http://www.mollyflanders.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-to-make-that-block.html

I would like the background/foundation color to be gray. The strips of the star could be any size.  I would like the strips to be bright scrappy colors of any value. The final star block will be 10 1/2 inches square.

I am looking for blocks that use colors in the Pacific Northwest Coastal Colorway. This can be taupe, stone, teal, salmon/crab pink, sand, sea grass, hay, and sable on Kona Snow or White background. Just go to http://design-seeds.com/index.php/home/entry/sea-hues or http://design-seeds.com/index.php/home/entry/color-crash3 or http://design-seeds.com/index.php/home/entry/underwater-hues3   and you'll see. Solids or prints, I am easy, and if you want to do grays and neutrals I am all for it too!

This quilt is my newest obsession! http://www.sewmamasew.com/january2014/IQ112.jpg

The tutorial for the block is here. http://www.sewcraftyjess.blogspot.com/2012/05/starburst-cross-block-tutorial.html

Thank you! :)

I am asking please for more stacked squares blocks. Here are the details:

1. the tutorial can be found here: http://www.modabakeshop.com/2013/06/simply-style-stacked-squares-quilt.html

2. The colors I would like are warm colors from Red to Green. If you look at this link, you will see the warms that i would like. While my picture below of blocks recieved has purple and some light/white parts, I would prefer to not have those in the block from you. So, please use Red, Orange, Yellow and/or a Warm green (brown is okay too). If you are not sure... please feel free to email/message me!

3. DO NOT CUT the block into 4 parts. I prefer that you sew the center, and 2 outsides, and then stop. As this is taking time to accumulate, i dont want the fabric unraveling.

Here is what i have done so far...... https://flic.kr/p/qAZjeU" target="_blank">https://flic.kr/p/qAZjeU

The stash was getting bigger and bigger and so I knew I had to finally get organized and start making quilts. I am a huge fan of the Finnish design house Marimekko.

About Me

Our family just relocated back to Colorado in 2010. And I am happy to say that we are here to stay as my husband just recently retired from the Air Force. We have three children. Joe is 13, Celeste is 12, and Katie is 10. Celeste has already developed my love of sewing as she has been busy creating her own American Girl doll clothes. I have a great passion for many different fabrics! I enjoy both modern and traditional. And I am always willing to try new techniques.
