About Me

I am a retired Aurora Public School Teacher with a Ph.D. in education.  I have three kids and three granddaughters.  I live with my husband and two dogs in Bennett, CO.

I started sewing when I was 6 or 7.  I made some sheets and blankets for my dolls.  The hand stitches were huge.  I made most of my own clothes through high school and college and I even made my own wedding dress.  I didn't start quilting until about 15 years ago.  I taught myself to quilt from the Elenor Burns patterns and books.  I am now a certified Quilt in a Day teacher.  I sell my quilts and fabric on line on Etsy.   I love to quilt with bright colors.  I'm just now exploring modern quilting.

Hi Karen,
I guess your cut healed faster than mine. I was out of commission for a few weeks.
