About Me

I live with my husband near Pike National Forest, between the small communities of Monument and Palmer Lake.  We have three grown sons and two daughters-in-law.  My mom first taught me to sew on the machine when I was eight years old.  I got my love of sewing from her.  She (and I) made virtually all of my clothes growing up.  I began my first quilt when I was in 7th grade and have been quilting every since!  I have recently been so excited about the quilting community on-line.  I love the new fabrics and the fresh new ways of looking at quilting techniques and patterns.  It has really energized my love of quilting.  I participate in three on-line bees and one real-live quilting group that meets once a month.

Hi Susan,
unfortunately, I will miss this week's meeting. I just want to let you know that I do want to participate in the ornament swap, so go ahead and sign me up.
Thank you ... Andrea

Susan,
Hi! Who are your sisters who live on Tejon and Nevada? I used to live on Tejon!
I guess I should put descriptions of my quilts. Will do that
now!

Welcome! I feel the same way about finding the online quilting community...it's like a spark that lit an invisible candle inside me -- and now I'm on fire! :o) Too bad I don't have enough time to quilt as much as I would like! :o)
I also heard there's a new modern fabric store in Monument - Crafty Laine -- I can't wait to go there! :o) That's awesome!
