Melissa, I have a question. We will be watching our grandchildren the weekend of the November meeting. Would it be alright if I bring my two granddaughters (ages 31/2 and 8) to the meeting. The older granddaughter has dabble in seeing with me already and we have plans for her to make pillowcases for Xmas gifts.

Yes, I will be there for the next meeting and looking forward to seeing Penny, so I hope there is still room in her workshop. She is such a wonderful person and teacher...y'all will love her! Looking forward to meeting you as well as the rest of the group.

Thanks for the note, Melissa! I'm looking forward to being in CoSprings and joining the group in person! I was a member of OKC MQG and can't wait to be a part of MQG again.

Hi Melissa - Thank you for your invitation to have me join in the drive north. I am not positive yet that I will be going this next visit. If I do, it might be for for a shorter visit because I just don't want to put it off. I really would like to get my feet wet.

Hello Melissa,

I paid the annual membership fee via PayPal yesterday on the Modern Quilt Guild's main website. How do I join this guild?

Thanks Melissa! It was great to meet you and Amy at the museum yesterday. I am planning to make it to the guild meeting this week (June 15). See you there! Leslie

Hi, Thanks for sharing 'you story'. I particularly identify with your comment 'I am excited to follow the story the quilt is writing'. I look forward to meeting you. Deona

Hi Michelle! Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm so excited to have found you guys! I will definitely come to the May meeting, I can't wait to meet everyone. :) (also, how do I go about paying dues so I can see/post in the forums?)

Thanks for the lovely Welcome! I'm so excited about the meeting on the 20th, and I am curious about what I should bring. I would like to officially join the guild. What is the cost of membership? I have a name tag from the emerald coast guild that I will bring. (Kelly can't seem to say enough nice things about you!) I was only able to make it to one of their meeting/sews before life got cra-zay, so I'm almost wetting my pants to be able to make it to meetings here in our new home. Do you ladies do show and tell every meeting? Should I bring a snack? I'm seriously so excited!

Thank you for the warm welcome, Melissa! I just joined today and am not sure what Saturday holds for me. if I can make it I won't be able to stay for the sew day as I'm sure we have plans in the afternoon.

I'm mesmerized looking at all the beautiful work by the members. Someday I won't be such a beginner!

Always good to find another fan of Marimekko.

Unfortunately I won't be able to come to the meeting in January as I signed up for a jewelry making class on that day back in November.

Oh, that's right! I don't know that Abby ever told me your name -- just that I was supposed to keep your ticket to the retreat a secret. :)
I will be popping in at the retreat, but my plans have changed and I won't be able to go to the retreat after all! I'm very disappointed, but one of my quilts has been selected for a quilt competition in Austin, TX later in February, and my husband isn't really keen on being on duty for 2 full weekends back-to-back. :) But like I said, I'll pop in when I can.
I'm glad you're coming! I know you and Beccy and Abby will have a blast!

Thank you Melissa. My daughters signed me up for the quilt retreat this February and I am excited about coming to it with them. Will I meet you then?

Hello and thanks for the welcome! I've spent the better part of my morning looking at all of the blog links! So exciting. Hoping to make it to some fabric stores in Denver and will keep in touch if I'm in town for a meeting. Happy holidays and happy sewing!

Thank you so much for the welcome! I will surely check out the FAQ. I have to check the calendar for the sew & greet - but it looks like FUN!

Hi Melissa,
rather unexpectedly, I found myself in the (legal) possession of some cash not needed for anything in particular. So, I thought I better write a check for the 2013 quilt retreat and dropped it in the mail this morning.
The amount should pay for most of the cost and secure me a spot to boot.
Have a good day ... Andrea
