About Me
I love to piece quilt tops and to get others to join in the fun! A few years back I started the tradition with 2 different groups of girlfriends that we would get together and piece a quilt for each of our kids as they get married. It has been great fun, a good excuse to get us together and a wonderful wedding gift. I made my first quilt in high school out of old blue jeans. That thing weighs a ton but we still take it on picnics! Through the years I have progressed to nicer fabrics as well as more detailed patterns. My biggest undertaking and accomplishment was joining a quilt square of the month project that Fabric Expressions in Littleton was offering. It is a Civil War era quilt with many triangles and points! PHEW! I ended up piecing several of the more difficult squares by hand. I am thrilled with the outcome and realize it was a huge step outside the box and really impacted my confidence in a positive way! Can't wait to learn more about this new style with the wonky and wacky combos. It will be another step outside the box for me!!!

Like Angela said, our next meeting is Monday, and we'd love to have you join us. If you've got any modern quilts to show off, or any works-in-progress, bring them along for show-and-tell! We are meeting about a mile off of I-25 and Exit 161, and the meeting starts at 6:30. Our August meeting will be at Fabric Bliss in Denver if you can't make this one. We look forward to meeting you!
