Works in Progress http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/ Works in Progress Spiderweb Block Abi wanted us to make a block for her spiderweb quilt. This was my first block in a bee, and I was very intimidated. It was also challenging for me because of all the scrappy chaos! I must say, though, I'm excited to see her final product! (March 2010) http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=103311315 103311315 practice applique I was so excited about this Christmas light idea. I was walking around thinking about how much I love bunting and trying to figure out how some people make it look like it's just one single pass across when that's just not possible...when the idea of christmas lights came to mind because you really can get across the strand in one go, using the metal part of the bulb as your path to/from the bulb. http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=103552154 103552154 Bee-Stitched Bee http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=103470141 103470141 Single Girl Quilt-a-Long! http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=114967961 114967961 wonky quarter block 1 having fun with some scraps. this is a current project http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=113226612 113226612 Christmas Snowflake Paper Pieced Snowflake for a Christmas Swap I'm in. http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=104395211 104395211 Wonky Log Cabin 1 Leslie wanted wonky log cabin blocks from her orange and gray fabrics. Now I am obsessed with sewing up these bitty hexies. At last count 82 made in less than a week. No idea what I'll do with them. http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=141724448 141724448 Elizabeth Hartman's "Snapshots" --Christmas style I chose to do 3.5" finished squares for this version in order to really showcase the Christmasy prints. The fabric requirements listed in Elizabeth Hartman's original pattern (1/4 yard each, of 18 different prints) are enough for my version, you just won't have enough fabric to set aside strips for the backing. The finished quilt can be 84x84 (with a 4x4 block layout) or 84x105 (with a 4x5 block layout). I'm doing the 4x4 layout because: (a) I don't need such a GINORMOUS quilt, and (b) I can make fun gifts or matching euro shams from the 4 leftover blocks (they're 21" after all!) http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=142924635 142924635 2-Pandora's Box From Pam & Nikky Lantott's "Jelly Roll Quilts," made from a collection of Japanese Taupe quilts. http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=146070362 146070362 1-Orange Sherbet The pattern is "Red Velvet" by Thimble Blossoms, the fabric is mostly Joel Dewberry from Mama Said Sew in Old Town Fort Collins.
