April Meet-and-Sew

« Back to calendar « Previous Event | Next Event »
Saturday April 21, 2012 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
1435 Cipriani Loop, Monument, CO 80132  (map)

We'll meet at The Hub in Monument. The doors will open between 9:15 and 9:30, and the meeting will start at 10:00.

When we meet at The Hub, we have enough chairs, so you don't need to worry about bringing your own.

We will have a regular guild meeting in the morning, starting promptly at 10.  We will discuss guild business, announce the next swap, and have a short presentation on quilting history. After that, we will be having a regular works-in-progress or recent finishes show-and-tell.

We will then break for lunch and then come back at 1:00 to sew together. Bring your sewing machine or a handwork project to sit and enjoy some sewing time together. AND, please bring a table (if you have one) and extension cord, too. It's a big space, but we need to bring the right supplies!

Members, don't forget to wear your nametags! Giveaways go to those with nametags.

Angie at Crafty Laine is generously offering us a 10% discount for anything we purchase that day, so if you can, take some time to run over to her shop and pick up some beautiful new fabric!

We are a dues-collecting guild, so if you are not yet a member and would like to join, please bring $25 to the meeting. Your first meeting is free, and future meetings will cost $5 each for non-members. Or just become a member... Also, only dues-paying members will have full access to the website and forum discussions. Members can win prizes, participate in swaps and challenges, get guild discounts at various fabric stores, etc. It pays to join.

As always, please leave a comment below and let us know you'll be there -- even if you can only be there for part of it. :)

Andrea says...
I will be flying back stand-by from Germany on the 20th and hope everything works out as planned. I certainly want to meet Melissa's baby and get some sewing done.
Are you guys sending out additional information if we are working on a charity group project?

Yes, Andrea, you should be getting more information soon. Angela has spent the last week in a car moving her mother from Florida to Colorado, so this has been a bit low on her priority list, but she will be sending more information out. :)
I believe that she is supposed to be getting some of the mother's clothes, but I'm not sure what kind and how much, and if you guys will need to bring some of your own fabric in to contribute to it.
Have fun in Germany!!
